@globeandmail Yet we are still seeing offer dates and bidding wars in some areas with prices increasing over time. Macro stats don't give an accurate picture of the GTA market. Our advice is to always seek info from your local experts before making any real estate decisions.
@jen_keesmaat Clearly an issue of lack of government funds when it comes to affordable housing of their own. Also, inadequate financial incentives to make it appealing for the private sector when the cost to build is so high. Dev charges, park levies, etc. have driven up pre-con prices.

@benmyers29 @CanadianRETerm This response was intended for your tweet comparing the 2 sales. Timing of sale certainly affects price too. Listing during the Xmas/New Year's break? Looks like signs of someone very motivated to sell = lower price.
@benmyers29 The comparison isn't exactly apples to apples. The older sale has 2 parking spots, the recent one only 1. The latter sale is 3 floors lower (affects price) and you have to consider view, finishes, layout, etc.
