#DigimonUP still has no date, no release date trailer, nor video trailers. There was clearly a block left open during the #DigimonTimes stream for new info but the Dev Team is clear too far behind to have anything to present.
Here pre-launch bonuses unlocked in Campaigns so far:
@SisterRay15@SaffronOlive@maro254@GavinVerhey I had the 1 Ring selling for over a million the second it was announced. I stated that even if a Magic player doesn't shell out for it ~ a Tolken fan would.
Nothing within the MTG IP will ever make a dent on fandoms.
@SisterRay15@SaffronOlive@maro254@GavinVerhey There's no shortage of lawyers in the TCG community who have stated that a Class-Action lawsuit is likely to succeed if they ever break their own printed agreement with the community.
But, the second there's a $50 Black Lotus, no Serialized is going for anywhere near the 1 Ring.
@SisterRay15@SaffronOlive There's a reason why Bandai is launching a Naruto TCG KNOWING that the IP was granted to another company to launch a TCG (launched in Europe with the first set really recently.)
TCGs for massive IP's with collectors outside of the game massively push demand and secondary market.
@SisterRay15@SaffronOlive There's nothing Wizards of the Coast can do to force the value of a Jace Beleren Promo Card on the secondary market. There's not millions of Jace fans who don't play MTG buying Jace merch.
(Don't get me wrong: Wizards could start trying to focus on 1v1 again.)
The one thing about growing up is the IP's that you loved when you were young almost always came out after you were born. So, there's always a hint of "getting older" dread mixed in with the nostalgia when they promote anniversaries.
@SaffronOlive@SisterRay15 Riftbound's creative team prior to launch made it clear they want the Competitive 1v1 scene for their game to feel like an eSport. (It's one of they reasons why they cite for holding off a Digital Client.)
Wizards doesn't care about 1v1 when Commander is made up of Whales.
@SaffronOlive Explain just how many people would show up for a Metal Jace?
The reason why this works for Riftbound is it uses a Leader Mechanic like Commander. Which forces players to use the Leader to have a chance to win said Metal Promo Trophy Card.
Magic's only Leader format isn't 1v1.
@Fairi_digimon92@digimon_tcg_EN The perfect example is the current metagame. The LINK mechanic has failed APPMON but when the Dev Team was able to transition it to LINKING options to other Digimon we got the Vulcanusmon Deck very popular, winning tournaments, and has people excited for the potential of LINK.
@Fairi_digimon92@digimon_tcg_EN The Card Game is never going to be 1:1 parallel to people's tastes. No matter how much someone loves something, that doesn't translate to being popular and successful in the TCG. But, failed themes having the chance to evolve and be reborn is vital.
@Fairi_digimon92@digimon_tcg_EN The world isn't centered to you!
The APPMON attempt in the TCG has failed but unfortunately the Dev Team has changed their approach. In the past, they would shelve a show/manga that didn't work, fix it, and bring it back later.
APPMON can't succeed without the chance to grow.
@digimon_tcg_EN I'm so sick of trying to understand this high-pitched cartoon. This has to be the worst AI Voice on any YouTube channel.
Please Bandai retire it.
