@StephMurphy@blodwyn50 If you have the money and can deal with the weight then the Z9 is fantastic, otherwise save some money and go for the Z8, which apart from the battery is essentially the same
@CoopAlex3 As there was a 13m tide at 07:18 this morning I suspect the barrage did its job very well, potential for serious flooding this morning without it. They'd dropped the water level by over a metre prior to high tide and it filled up to this in the 2 hrs the sluices were shut
@PatchBirding I take it mapping fairly accurately around a body of water/inaccessible land that's in the middle of your patch is okay? Won't have much of a patch otherwise
@lizardschwartz Once upon a time spending some time ringing at Kenfig at this time a year would almost guarantee one, sadly rather rare now (8 yrs since last Uskmouth rec - when was last at Kenfig?)
@sconzani @welshbirders@PennardGolfClub Had a Common Blue in the garden just now but that's a rarity! Just part of the trend in declining insect populations I guess. Drove back from Poole through some great countryside on a lovely warm evening last Sunday - barely a splat on windscreen ๐
@RobStratton8 They've actually managed to raise 2 broods in the past. I did wonder whether the gulls were a bit more aggressive earlier on in lockdown with so little human waste to feed on
