I have a Canadian friend who is now an internal medicine doctor. He tried to get into med school in Canada - was rejected not because of grades but because he's a white male - so he went abroad.
He then did his residency in Miami.
He returned to Canada and applied to be a doctor in his home country. Was rejected.
He was just hired by a huge hospital outside of Boston where he'll make triple the salary. His wife said when she gets pregnant, they'll have their baby in the US.
And this is how brain drain happens.
Canada does not nurture/protect its talent. This is why the country is bleeding intelligent/successful people - and they're relocating to America en masse.

A 44-year-old Edmonton man has died, leaving behind his wife and three children, after reportedly waiting more than eight hours at the Grey Nuns Hospital while experiencing persistent chest pain.

The key reason Sikhs celebrate the release of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and not that of Guru Nanak Dev Ji (the first Guru) lies in the nature, context, and message of the events themselves.

Different circumstances

Guru Nanak Dev Ji was detained by Mughal authorities (in Babar’s time) briefly during his travels because of his criticism of tyranny and religious hypocrisy. His release was part of his ongoing spiritual journey he had never been imprisoned as a political prisoner, nor did his release carry a political dimension.

Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, however, was imprisoned by Emperor Jahangir in Gwalior Fort for years, not for any crime, but because the emperor feared his growing influence. His eventual release wasn’t just a personal freedom it became a liberation for 52 other Hindu kings who were unjustly imprisoned with him.

The message of Bandi Chhor Dahada

The term Bandi Chhor literally means “Day of Liberation.”

When Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji was offered his own freedom, he refused to leave unless all 52 kings were also freed. The emperor agreed that as many kings could go as could hold on to the Guru’s cloak so the Guru had a special robe sewn with 52 tassels, one for each king.

This act made Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji a symbol of freedom, justice, and compassion not only for Sikhs but for all humanity. The day became a celebration of selfless leadership and liberation for all, coinciding with Diwali, which gave it further prominence.

So I don’t mind the Q raised or asked but the comments underneath especially by our own is disappointing but this is what happens when you don’t sit and read (not listen) Gurbani or sakhiya
