Dear house flippers,
Please, be more intentional with your work.
I'm trying to buy a house for my family & all I can find are flips.
I just wanna buy a normal house. Not one with white brick & gray plastic floors.
Please stop flipping in areas where there aren't a lot of inventory, bc then people that don't want flips have 0 options.
I'd rather have an old 70s ugly house that I get for an ok price instead of a more expensive gray box I STILL want to redo.
i have no desire to be rich so i can buy a lambo or birkins.
I want to be rich so I can control my time and go to the gym at 2 pm on a wednesday.
sit at a cafe and relax for an hour on a rainy afternoon.
so I can cook meals at home with fresh ingredients.
spend on my family and friends without worrying about a budget.
that’s my idea of a rich life, not the fake consumerist idea shoved down my throat.
NOT EVERYBODY KNOWS ABOUT FOOD STAMPS & RAMEN NOODLES. AND SOME DON'T KNOW ABOUT WALKING TO THE LAUNDROMAT WITH BIG BAGS OF CLOTHES, BOILING WATER ON THE STOVE FOR BATHS, AND LIGHTING CANDLES IN THE HOUSE BECAUSE THE POWER WENT OFF & NOT BECAUSE IT WAS STORMING.
SOME DON'T KNOW ABOUT HAND-ME-DOWNS, SECOND-HAND CLOTHES, OR SLEEPING ON THE COUCH OR THE FLOOR. SOME DON'T KNOW ABOUT GETTING GROCERIES AT A FOOD PANTRY OR WAITING IN A LUNCH LINE FOR A MEAL, OR TURNING THE OVEN ON TO HEAT THE HOUSE. SOME DON'T KNOW ABOUT HAND WASHING CLOTHES IN THE TUB OR IN THE SINK AND DRYING THEM ON A CLOTHESLINE.
SOME DON'T KNOW ABOUT SHOWERING AT SOMEONE ELSE'S HOUSE. IF YOU HAVEN'T STRUGGLED, I DON'T EXPECT YOU TO UNDERSTAND.
