📢 New State Law on Electronic Devices 📵
Starting August 13, Irving ISD will implement a new state-mandated electronic device policy in accordance with House Bill 1481. Under this law, students are prohibited from using personal devices (like cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, tablets and personal laptops) during the school day.
✅ Middle & High School Students will use Yondr pouches to secure their devices.
✅ Elementary Students will store powered-off devices in their backpacks.
You will receive additional guidance before the start of school.
☎️ If you need to reach your child during the school day, please call the school office. Staff will be happy to assist.
