I’m wary about equating Geriatric Assessment with “less aggressive treatment”. CGA aims to avoid premature death, or improve function or relieve pain and suffering. If a treatment optimizes those effects, we can recommend it. If not, let’s find what best meets patients’ goals.

A godsend for me and mum who has #dementia has been the arrival of Mo, the cat. His favourite spot is on mum's lap. He soothes her and reduces her anguish and anxiety. We talk about him endlessly, and laugh at his funny ways. https://t.co/R3BwkxbKIe
