The April 2026 data has just come in. The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Broward region (Broward County) was 4.4 percent in April 2026. This rate was 1.2 percentage points greater than the region's year ago rate of 3.2 percent.

In April 2026, nonagricultural employment in the Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Sunrise MD was 922,400, a decrease of 5,600 jobs (-0.6 percent) over the year.
