It was wonderful to welcome ASK Ambassador Claire from Work Pays to Edward Peake this morning. She spoke to our Year 8s about apprenticeships and the different routes they can take after they leave school. There were some insightful questions from students and great discussions.
We then went on to the stables at Hyde Park where we met mounted officers who explained how the police horses are used to keep the public safe as well as all the work that goes into looking after them and the special equipment they have to wear.
What a fantastic day we have had! It started with a visit to The Houses of Parliament where we had an amazing tour and then took part in a workshop where each group created their own petition. We even met our local MP Richard Fuller.
A very exciting opportunity awaits a group of pupils today as they visit the Houses of Parliament and meet the police horses in Hyde Park. Students and staff are safely on the train and very excited about the day ahead. #Careers#Future#Wideninghorizons
