Ce tweet est trompeur. Le mécanisme de staking d’ETH prévoit ce genre de situation depuis le début, il n’est pas « stuck ». Les délais d’unstaking qui s’allongent ne sont pas un bug, mais une mesure de protection du réseau

Sur Ethereum le retrait des validateurs passe par une exit queue avec un plafond de sorties par époque (churn limit), ce plafond sert à lisser les entrées et sorties : si trop de validateurs quittaient le réseau en même temps, la sécurité baisserait et la stabilité du consensus pourrait être menacée.
Le délai dépend donc du nombre de retraits en attente, pas d’une “congestion” au sens classique des transactions. D’ailleurs c’est vrai dans les deux sens 🔁

Il y a d’ailleurs des délais d’unstaking sur la plupart des réseaux POS pour ce genre de chose

Vitalik Buterin l’a résumé ainsi :
“The exit queue exists to protect the chain’s stability and security from mass validator movements.”
(La file d’attente de sortie existe pour protéger la stabilité et la sécurité de la chaîne contre des mouvements massifs de validateurs.)

Rien d’anormal ici. C’est une critique facile et décontextualisée, le genre de punchline qui tourne bien sur Twitter…

Petit truc intéressant avec ce délai : il annonce une pression vendeuse à venir, même si elle sera diluée dans le temps grâce à ces délais
