Our 1st XI are looking to recruit players into their Div 1 side! But don't take my word that Carillon is a great place to play cricket, listen to Jacob and Bethany - they know the real score!
Lots of fun and tasty treats? What more could you want!?
EDIT: Admin needs to use all her fingers when counting...Capel of course reigned as 1st XI captain for a FULL DECADE, not 9 years. Admin will go sit in the corner for 30 minutes and reflect on my sub-par arithmetic skills.
After 9 years as 1st team captain, Capel is retiring his legendary tossing skills. Whilst he will still play an important role as a player, we want to thank Capel for all his hard work as captain, leading the 1st team to many successes during his tenure.
This leads to an exciting opportunity for new players: we are not only looking to recruit new players into our 1st team for 2026, but also a new captain. If you're interested in joining a competitive & inclusive cricket club, get in touch or come to our indoor nets in January!

Over the last few years we have undertaken many initiatives, such as water harvesting systems, and we are excited to start our new flood defence project soon for which we've just been awarded funding.

A lovely evening last night at the @leicscricketfdn Cricket Collective Awards where we were honoured to be nominated for and win the 2025 award for a club proactively tackling climate change.
Our club has seen firsthand the challenges that climate change has on sports clubs with two devastating floods in Jan 24 & Jan 25 - because of that we have committed to do all we can to combat this and operate more sustainably.
Another resounding success of 2025 was the start of our new ladies team. We began with a taster session back in March expecting only a small handful of interested women, & over 20 attended! Over the summer this grew to over 30 and I may be biased here, but it's been amazing! ๐
A successful 2025 season for our senior sides has brought with it many personal milestones to celebrate in terms of total Carillon wickets and runs. Topping those lists is Nitsy who passed 550 Carillon wickets, and Trim with an incredibly impressive 12000 Carillon runs!
Yesterday really had everything! Will took 6-9 in just 5 overs for the 2nd XI yesterday, including his first ever hattrick! Here are those 3 deadly successive balls in all their glory - well bowled William!
Thank you to our opposition yesterday @BroomleysCC who joined in this special guard of honour as Dilip took to the field for the last time in the second innings.
Thank you, Dilip, from your Carillon Family ๐
Within all the joy of yesterday, there was a bittersweet moment as Dilip took to the field for the last time. Dilip retires not only as this seasons top wicket taker with 38 victims to his name, but as a club great with 351 total Carillon wickets.
๐Team News๐ Last weekend of the cricketing calendar... 1โs needing a win on their longest away trip of the season, 2โs finish off at home with 3rd placed confirmed. We round up a very long summer with a strong Sunday XI at home v South Oxfordshire Amateurs. Go well all!
