I am publicly asking Islington Council to delete this tweet.

Your comms team got too excited and publicly dismissed, in its entirety, any eviction or disposal of belongings post-eviction.

As of Friday 14 November 2025, the council opened a formal investigation into the alleged disposal and loss of property, including crucial ID and medication, following an eviction taking place.

The council will also try to retrieve access to the body-worn video footage taken by the bailiffs, in order to see the belongings in the property at the time of eviction.

If NO eviction had been carried out and NO belongings were disposed of, then why has a formal investigation been opened under the order of the council itself?

🚨 Islington Council sent bailiffs to evict a man with incurable cancer. He was turfed onto the streets with just the clothes on his back and his crutches.

They then disposed of his belongings including medication.

He told me he has to wash in McDonald’s toilets and sleep on night buses whilst having chemotherapy.
