@TrevorOakley1 They’re dreadful going forward. They were turning down putting set pieces into the box from the first minute today though. It’s been a tough watch.
Can you even imagine going to Wembley for a play off final and some fucking nerd sat 100 miles away in a studio has the ability to affect the game and make decisions that are wrong anyway. Fuck that.
That Stockport goal being ruled out is everything that is wrong with the game and why I will never ever attend a game with VAR in place. An absolute cancer on the game.
I’m 41 and never played football professionally but having seen some of the players off to a World Cup it’s re motivated me to get back fit and there might still be a chance for me yet to make it! Some absolutely honking players in that squad.
@carlwat00289806 I’m struggling to see what the logic is from Tuchel here. Never let England down has Maguire and he deserved to at least retain his place in the squad. I’d still have him starting personally.
You can go through most of the top teams of that time around Europe and the squads are filled with exceptional/world class players in most positions.
Not sure you can say the same anymore. I’d struggle to name a handful of world class players in the world these days
@stretcha75 Haha it’s some decision to call that isn’t it. From a purely neutral point of view it’s set up a hell of game to watch on Saturday. Il be a bit gutted if Hearts don’t get over the line, they’ve been good every time I’ve seen them this season. Can’t say that about Celtic.
30 years 🫣
Remember that day like it was just last week. Some side we had that season. Went with dad and his mates, got lost on the way there and ended up nearer London than Hereford, Just made kick off!
It was 30 years ago today when Darlington won 2-1 at Hereford in the first leg of the play-off semi-final with goals by Sean Gregan and Robbie Blake. A brilliant team full of talent.

@BergerBrakes@Ollie_Bayliss It’s a great ball in and ultimately I’m glad it went in as it will be a travesty if Rochdale don’t go up. Just where it lands, The keeper must be there. He’s got an extra 3/4ft reach with his hands, just come and punch the thing!
@tom_breedon@adamcam98 Oh absolutely he can’t turn the move down and I do genuinely hope he makes a success off it. I’m not taking anything away from what he did for us, we probably are a division below without him and we will find him hard to replace.
@adamcam98@tom_breedon Footballers will always split opinion in the fanbase depending on what that certain fan likes in a player. I have Main down as a top end NLN striker but likely a bang average NL player. Think it’s a poor footballing move for him personally but time will tell.
