I’m excited—I just signed a contract today with Sagging Meniscus Press for my first book of poetry, THE REEL AND THE PAPERBACK: REFRACTED EKPHRASES, to come out in Fall 2027.
My poem on “Z”—the 1969 movie as adapted from the 1966 novel—was just published in EXACTING CLAM. The film has been my absolute favorite, although I hadn’t seen it since it first hit the screen.

I just had one of my “refracted ekphrases”—poems on films adapting from literature—appear. This time on “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” Blake Edwards’s film adapted from Truman Capote’s novella. Hope you like it!
Exciting—my chapter in “The Cambridge History of International Law, vol. 2: International Law in Asia,” TWENTIETH-CENTURY INDIAN HISTORIOGRAPHY OF ANCIENT INTERPOLITY LAW, is now posted on the press’s website:

EXCITING! The Cambridge Press site now has a page for the CAMRBIDGE HISTORY OF INTERNATIONAL LAW, VOL. II: INT'L LAW IN ASIA—My chapter in it tells the story of twentieth-century Indian readings of India’s ancient inter-polity law.

It’s a blast to see my poem, “Either Too Trivial or Else Too Important to be Discussed,” appear in LONDON (Great Cities vol 2). The poem, one of my refracted ekphrases, engages Monica Ali’s novel, “Brick Lane,” and its film adaptation by Sarah Gavron.
I’m very grateful to the “Santa Clara Review” for publishing my poem in their special “California Edition”—written a few years back with rain coming all of a sudden in a year hit by severe drought following other drought years.
Saira Mohamed of UC Berkeley Law has provided an excellent primer regarding the illegality of the Maduro extraction & the boat strikes in the Caribbean. It might seem overtaken by events in the Middle East—but the illegal throughline is important.

My new article, “WE OWN IT, SO WE CAN BREAK IT: THE TRUMP NATIONAL SECURITY STRATEGY 2025 AS SKELETON KEY" was just published by VERFASSUNGSBLOG. Hope this contributes to the understanding of Trump's foreign policy.

Two of my poems—my “refracted ekphrases” on film adaptations—just appeared on “Verseville.” One on “The Pawnbroker” and the other on Vijay Anand’s adaptation Narayan’s “The Guide.”

@TaylorCSherman@PrincetonUPress I've used your wonderful book in one article and one book chapter so far. And it should appear prominently in my next article on C.H. Alexandrowicz's Indian Constitutional developments book.
