I can't fathom why people would think it's political!
@IANdrewDiceClay No ill will towards him but I don't see the point. Even if you separate the art from the artist, the appeal of Chris Benoit was that he was very skilled and extremely intense. Without a lifetime of grappling skills or the tireless physicality how are you carrying on his "legacy"?
@DonZeeko@SpinninBackfist It's a stat that doesn't hold up under any scrutiny. Chander and Green beat Tony but they're only listed as losses and not wins.
@JackSlackMMA MMA is the only sport I can think of where fans will actually defend people not competing because they think there's no point. Genuinely seen people suggest that the likes of Ilia Topuria sits around nothing because they don't think the contenders are worthy.
@bongsandbirdies @blublubluberri I think people have really bought into the idea that businesses make decisions based on whatever their ideology is in recent years. They do whatever effects their profits. That is their ideology. Most moral posturing is for profit.
@JackSlackMMA People have all but forgotten Nogueira's half guard. I can't remember the last time I have seen anyone duck under the whizzer and sit through to the back
@ufcfan43@JackSlackMMA Cut Jack some slack. I borrowed (stole) Jack's entire philosophy for fight breakdowns when I started working with Paddy. Went from Killing The King articles to Killing King Green.
Jon Jones as a light-heavyweight. Incredible. Drug cheat but entered one of the most talent rich divisions in history and left it a wasteland because everyone else realised they would rather cut weight.
Jon Jones as a heavyweight. One good win and it was essentially hand-picked.
