Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on the Strait of Hormuz:
The strait is never going back to the way it was because the Iranians have used, or tried to use it, as a choke point.
What we are going to see over the next two years, the strait is going to become irrelevant.
It is going to become just another body of water, and I would say that more than 50 or 70% of the energy that moves through the strait now is going to go through underground pipelines.
This was a near mass casualty event.
“they identified the suspect as 23-year-old Ismail Abrahimzada of Aurora. He has been charged with dangerous operation and failure to stop for police.”
So wait a second. We were told that Shiloh Hendrix had berated a child. That was allegedly the reason the Somali guy started filming and hassling her. But the jury acquitted her of disorderly conduct against the child and convicted her of disorderly conduct against the guy with the camera. Which means she actually didn't say anything to the kid. She was being harassed by the guy with the camera for no reason. And now she's been convicted of a crime simply for telling the guy to leave her alone. This is total madness.
“He leaves behind a 6-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter, his mother said.
‘I will never recover from this,’ his wife, Mia Gonzalez-Swinton, posted Monday on Facebook. ‘We had so many plans for when you got back, I'm sick to my stomach.’ She said she was notified Sunday that he had been killed.”

🚨 JUST IN: One of the American airmen who lost his life in the KC-135 crash in Iraq has been identified as Maj. Alex Klinner
Klinner leaves behind a wife, a 2-year-old, and 7 month old twins
Absolutely heartbreaking. Pray for the Klinner family 💔🙏🏻
Very special moment today on my flight to San Antonio. The coffin of a hero was on my plane. The hurting family. The military greeting. The pilot message on the plane. For a moment, everyone stopped to respect a soldier that gave everything for our country.
We are safer because of him. We are more free because of him. That will never console a grieving mother, but I am deeply thankful.
The soldiers that gave everything to fight Hitler. The solders that gave everything to fight communism.
Cabo Verde will not be forgotten. Heart of champions, team of the tournament! We were all very lucky to watch you play soccer. Special group of people.

I have just finished reading The Rape Gang Inquiry Report.
It is, without a doubt, the most horrifying document I've ever read in my life.
There is no close second... and it's worse than you could ever imagine.
Here's everything you need to know 🧵

"OUR FRIENDS. OUR FAMILY ARE DYING"
A 24-year-old Polish tennis player arrived in Paris last week ranked 114th in the world, with no sponsors, no guaranteed income, and no certainty she could even pay for her hotel room.
She had to win three qualifying matches just to enter the French Open main draw. Prize money is only paid at the end of the tournament, so a Polish sports drink brand quietly stepped in and covered her hotel bill.
Her name is Maja Chwalinska. And today, she plays in the French Open final.
Before this tournament, she had won exactly one Grand Slam main draw match in her entire career. She had battled depression so severe that in 2021 she couldn't get out of bed. She underwent knee surgery in 2022. She spent years grinding through small tournaments across Europe just to stay afloat.
Then she arrived in Paris, won three qualifiers, and kept winning. Zheng Qinwen. Elise Mertens. Maria Sakkari. Diana Shnaider. Nine straight matches. One set dropped.
She is now the first qualifier in French Open history to reach the final. The last time a qualifier reached a Grand Slam final, it was Emma Raducanu at the 2021 US Open. Raducanu won.
By simply making the final, Chwalinska has earned more prize money than her entire career combined. The runner-up cheque alone is $1.6 million. If she wins today, she takes home $3.25 million.
One week ago she couldn't pay for her hotel room.
