William Ludwig (1847-1923) was a prolific @CarlRosaOpera singer. After throat surgery he could no longer sing, but went to work in the film industry and made many silent films. Please let us know if you have info about his career @BritishSilentFF perhaps?

Two new biographies have been added to our website. Thomas Wiffin (1834-1897), once a chorister @Wndrcastle has a memorial in @RochesterCathed. Lots of opera singers started in church/cathedral choirs to join the troupes. The other singer added is William Ludwig (1847-1923)
