Watching the Man City saga unfold as someone with absolutely no allegiance to either side…

One of the key pillars of football’s financial rules is supposedly “financial sustainability”.

So how is City’s owner effectively gifting equity to the club considered such a problem, while the Glazers loading Man United with huge debt and interest costs is compliant?

City broke the rules — punish them accordingly. But if debt-loading a club is acceptable while gifting equity isn’t, can we really claim these rules protect financial sustainability?

Perhaps it’s not just the clubs that need scrutiny. Perhaps the rules themselves do.

I’ve seen a few vids of @Jacob_Rees_Mogg debating against those who are right leaning and he has schooled every one of them! I hate to say it but actually enjoyed listening to him!

[Max 📟 @MaxNordau]

🚨🚨 Tucker Carlson insists three times that Hitler "did not want to go to war with the UK," and twice demands that Jacob Rees-Mogg "acknowledge" it.

Hitler "didn't want war" with Britain the way a mugger doesn't want a fight with his victim. He wanted Britain to stand aside while he took Europe.

Britain publicly guaranteed Poland's independence in March 1939. Hitler invaded Poland anyway.

Rees-Mogg: "I'm very surprised you're verging on defending Hitler."

Carlson sarcastically remarks that he is a secret Nazi, then clarifies that he is neither a secret Nazi nor a public Nazi.

Fucking hell son, leave some straws for others to grasp 😂😂

🚨 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: The Premier League has decided to offer Manchester City a plea bargain to reduce the sanctions and keep them in the Premier League.

The deal could see City avoid anything above a 20-point deduction, no relegation, a reduced fine, no transfer ban and the punishment spread over multiple seasons.

I sort of understand why city cheated the system, but they did cheat! Surely they would fail any owners and directors test now?!

Could they be forced to sell up?!

Considering the source! Think we can safely rule this out!!

🚨 🗣 @JacobsBen:

"I can also exclusively tell you that if Manchester City are kicked out of the Premier League, the EFL plan to read the verdict, and they are willing, in solidarity, to back the Premier League position and try to keep Manchester City out of the EFL as well.

So there's a danger in a doomsday scenario that Manchester City could be kicked out of football altogether."

Aye not looking good for city!! Wonder how the premier league will handle this one!!

[The Athletic | Football @TheAthleticFC]

EXCLUSIVE: Manchester City have been found guilty on almost all of the charges relating to breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations.

The sanctions have not been decided, with all possibilities remaining on the table, and City are expected to appeal.

City have been found guilty on all but one of the 115 charges, according to sources briefed on the matter who spoke anonymously as they were not authorised to do so publicly.
