Just celebrated his 15th birthday. Lately I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Kentrell. This is why it’s so important to have creative spaces and outlets for young people to be able to go to, because there’s nothing on the streets of Chicago for them already. RIP

Today would’ve been our GKMC member #DelmonteJohnson’s 22nd birthday. We lost him in 2018 to #GunViolence & the pain we feel is just as raw as it was then. Rest up Brody, we miss you G 😢🙏🏾❤️🕊

Waking up this morning to find out that after over a year of having unproductive meetings with the city & @chicagosmayor never meeting with us about our #PeaceBook ordinance. They’ve partnered with UofC Crime lab to steal our ideas! Add #TheifLightfoot

Daniel of #GKMCEnglewood said that hurt people hurt people but healed people can help heal others. Stop criminalizing Black & Brown youth & get us the resources we need to heal.

#JayaBeemon is the cousin of our youngest member Dovontae. Our GKMC boys are 15, her killer is 15, Dwain Williams killer was 15.

The #PeaceBook would allow us to prevent tragedies like this & get to shorties before they become shooters!

.@chicagosmayor had the fucking nerve to hold a moment of silence for #BreonnaTaylor all the while knowing she’s trying to cover up CPD’s similar raid on a Black Woman here in Chicago!

Thank God Anjanette Young survived to tell her story!

Good morning,

Thanks to your in kind donations, next week we’re able to officially launch our housing justice initiative!

Landlords are already viciously evicting people despite a moratorium being in place. And once those expire residents will owe back pay & face evictions!

Vote for @ladieversatile! 1 hour left 👏🏾👏🏾

G @CNN just reported that only about 40% of people across the country wear their mask consistently. They said if we can get that up to 95% we can save 129,000 lives between now & February! We mask up and you should too! Tell your homies to #WearAMask

#CalebReed was a 17y/o Freedom Fighter who wanted #CopsOutCPS. The movement just lost him to #GunViolence this morning. This tragedy is traumatizing & heartbreaking. We can honor him by continuing the call to end GV & get students resources for healing. RIP

Our GKMC members, 16y/o twins Markeda Woods & Markese Woods have been re-traumatized by an old video made by @Akademiks in 2015! In it he makes fun of the death of their 9y/o cousin #AntonioSmith. His family is demanding a public apology from Akademiks. He disrespected a child!

Need your car washed? Then please support #GKMCEnglewood’s fundraiser today from 11-5pm. Thank you!

DJ who’s apart of our #GKMCEngelwood chapter echoed our demands to get #cpdoutofcps & make them #policefreeschools now. We deal with trauma from losing friends to gun violence, hunger, houselessness etc, police intervene & make things worse. $33 million can go towards our needs.
