@KimZetter I’d say hacking is not defacto illegal. The media mostly uses the term in that manner, but traditionally it’s accessing something in a manner not initially intended, sometimes using exploits. It’s why we have always had white & blackhat hackers to differentiate legal vs illegal.
I was schooled in a post-colonial, British based education system, and as such, my writing sometimes reflects this. I now find myself sometimes changing my writing style and even purposely not fixing typos, because any half-decent writing is now seen as AI.
I am also just one of many Jamaicans currently working the world cup, with experience gained from local companies and events. We have engineers, venue manager, tech manager, all working between USA and Canada. along with others who have left JA for other fields. Big up RSPL.
The effect of corporate sponsorships in local ventures can be exponential in their long term effect. Started working in broadcast when Red Stripe sponsored the local football league, RSPL back then. Now with exposure I built on since then, working my second world cup.
The problem is, Jamaica is too small to support broadcast of a league, once or twice weekly without sponsorships. We just don't have the numbers to command the ad dollars required to be self supporting. Hence why some leagues suffer without sponsors.
@KyleAnthonie Short answer, It would require rewriting the IFAB laws of the game, to change the rule that says, the clock must run continuously for each half.
