Incurable liver cancer following pancreatic cancer. Heavenly Father, heal my wounds. only You can. Trying to lead a Christ-centred not a self-centred life ❤️
So now I’m told my liver cancer is “incurable” - so my days are numbered but only God who gave me life knows how many they may be because the date of my passing has already been set & no one can change it. However I will still pray “Heavenly Father, heal my wounds. Only you can”.
“…you whom I have upheld since your birth, and have carried since you were born.
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”
Isaiah 46:3-6
After seven weeks at home. I had blood tests on Friday which revealed the presence of cancer and a significant anomaly in one of my liver function levels. Got called in this morning for this drip and I have an abdominal CAT scan booked for tomorrow. Oh well…
@BSBreastCancer Saw oncologist last week. Too much time elapsed for chemo. Depending on results of CAT scan on Sept 10 a decision will be taken about chemo or 3 monthly checks. Pancreas removal is already life limiting. Feeling so unwell don’t think I’ll be around long. Let God’s will be done.
May I know grace to embrace my own finite smallness in the arms of God’s infinite greatness. May God’s word feed me and His Spirit lead me into the week and into the life to come. 2/2

May this day bring Sabbath rest to my heart and my home. May God’s image in me be restored, and my imagination in God be re-storied. May the gravity of material things be lightened, and the relativity of time slow down. 1/2
Renew me this week, I pray, to live almost as beautifully as You. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for inspiring dreams and visions, imagination, and innovation. Give me a new mind this week to perceive fresh possibilities in ordinary things. 2/2

Thank You, Father, for the wonder, the beauty and complexity of Your creation. Renew my soul this week to celebrate Your creativity. Thank You, Jesus, for overcoming the dreariness of sin and making everything new. 1/2
“Father, today I yield my whole being to You as a temple of the living God. As I give You my heart, wholly available and at one with Yours, I live in the grace-filled reality that I can never out-give You. Making my heart Your home will be my greatest legacy.”

Today is my dear dad’s 96 birthday and he came and visited me in hospital. He rarely goes out so I was so happy to see him. I love him so much and I consider myself truly blessed to still have him and my 93 year old mum in my life.
“ Holy Spirit, fire of God, burn in me again today. I surrender every disappointment, regret, and feeling of inadequacy to You. As I hear You say my name I simply reply, ‘Here I am’.”
