@JoeTraherne1@generalgendered@katherine_deves “There were asians and africans available. Only anglos were targeted.
Oh, except that one African. Besides that one. Oh and the baby too. “
You have no idea what happened. No idea why. female victims don’t present an ideological agenda. Murder, yes. Terrorism, no.
@JoeTraherne1@generalgendered@katherine_deves And the known victim was Anglo, whilst the murderer was Italian. What part does that have to play? What if it turns out ALL of the victims were Anglo? Does that mean it’s a racist attack?
Or is it just possible that most shoppers at Bondi on a Saturday are Anglo women?
@JoeTraherne1@generalgendered@katherine_deves No, not “you do not know”.
WE do not know.
If you want to change the meaning of words to fit a political agenda, that’s up to you. Reminds me of another movement who do the exact same thing.
@JoeTraherne1@generalgendered@katherine_deves you’re right re my rejection of sex based motive. Fair point.
However I’m not the only one with no conclusive evidence; neither does Deves. Neither do you. The presence of both a man and a 9 month old infant mean your claim of a ‘sex based motive’ is equally impossible to know.
@JoeTraherne1@generalgendered@katherine_deves Is the issue male violence? Or is the issue a criminally deranged psychopath attacking anyone he could?
He’s a male. He was violent. That is not the same as DV, or systemic misogynistic structures, like Islam, or the feminist movement.
@kinjones29@katherine_deves Oh, a Twitter insult. Boom, crash, zing, what a take down etc etc.
Just qualify for me though (in between your tantrum): why does Deves being a woman mean I can’t engage with her falsely representing reality? Does it mean she has a sacred knowledge of the victims or something?
@generalgendered@JoeTraherne1@katherine_deves I’m simply stating it’s not domestic terrorism. We have no knowledge of a misogynistic agenda. Pretending that there is has no correlation with reality. It’s around as real as a man pretending he’s a woman.
@JoeTraherne1@generalgendered@katherine_deves Of course. Women don’t often commit mass murder. Now that’s either because women are intrinsically better than men, or for some other reason.
However, it’s worth clarifying that the people most likely to be murdered by MEN are…other men. That doesn’t make it terrorism.
@kinjones29@katherine_deves fast forward the Twitter insults. It’s boring af.
I haven’t said it’s not male on female violence. I’ve said it’s not domestic terrorism; as terrorism is ‘the unlawful use of violence…in the pursuit of political aims’ That’s not what this is. To say otherwise is a lie.
@JoeTraherne1@generalgendered@katherine_deves We don’t know why the man died. We also don’t know why the women died. What we do know is that if it was in reverse, 5 men perishing and 1 woman, no one would accuse this of being a domestic terrorist attack against men. It’s just gutter trope.
@kinjones29@katherine_deves What are you dribbling about. I was responding to her post aligning this with a terrorist attack against women. I’m saying no, that’s not what this was.
If you lack the capacity to understand that, cool stuff…mate.
@kinjones29@katherine_deves And he tried to kill a baby. Was the babies gender crucial to his attack?
No. He targeted defenceless human beings. The majority of those tragic souls were women. That doesn’t mean it was a targeted anti-woman attack. The victims were also white. Was it a racist attack too?
@holland_tom What does this even mean? Yousaf is…Knox, the preacher whose power is in the word. Rowling is…Mary? The bumbling moron who executes the innocent?
The only poss connection is that Rowling and
Mary are both women. Suddenly your basic Luther errors make more sense.
