American Energy Independence is critical to our national security.

The new bill will drive solar and wind energy growth to zero. Zero.

Where are we going to get our energy from to compete with China?

We will need 25 new natural gas plants built per year to replace our amazingly successful solar and wind energy growth that this bill will kill.

Do the math. It takes 5-7 years to build a natural gas plant. The AI race will be won or lost in the next few years. Our energy grids are already collapsing.

We need more energy now, not in 2032.

The amount of value that is packed into the @Tesla Powerwall 3 is mind blowing.

Powerwall 3 stores the same amount of energy as Powerwall 2, but the Powerwall 3 can discharge 230% (continuously) faster than the 2. This means that a single Powerwall 3 has enough power to handle all the loads in about 80% of households. Energy expansions will be coming out later this year, I’m guessing they will be much less expensive than the Powerwall 3. It’s hard to put a value on this, but this improvement could save you from needing to set up 2 separate panels (one for backup loads and another for non backup loads). My estimated value for this is $2000. But even with that extra work, you still don’t have as good of an overall system because you had to choose some loads to be in a non-backup panel… The increase in power discharge will also decrease the quantity of powerwalls that a person would need to purchase/install in some situations. The value for this is roughly $10,000.

A single Powerwall 3 can also be paired with up to a 20kw solar array because of the built in solar inverter. This is equivalent to about $2,000 worth of Tesla inverters or about $11,000 worth of micro inverters that you wouldn’t need to purchase for a 20kw solar system. Those numbers are not including labor savings, equipment only.

Powerwall 3 has a built in site controller. This means that you can install it with the Tesla backup switch instead of the Tesla Gateway. The Tesla Gateway is a wonderful piece of equipment that may be a better option in certain situations due to its versatility, but the Backup Switch is more than $500 less expensive than the Gateway (and a lot less labor) and works great most situations, if your utility will allow it. I estimate this value to be about $2000.

It will be interesting to see what the energy expansion module pricing is later this year. I believe they will also be 13.5kWh, each. But I don’t think they will have their own solar inverters or site controllers so they should be much less expensive to manufacture and likely much less expensive for us to purchase? If so, this really starts to add a ton of value.

Powerwall 3 also runs cooler due to its new thermal management system and also because of the change in battery technology to LFP.

Needless to say, I’m excited about this and can’t wait to get my hands on this product. My customers are going to benefit immensely from this engineering marvel.
