The covenant of grace is between God and believers with their children in which he promises salvation through faith in Christ, who merited their salvation by his obedience in the covenant of redemption.

The Christian life is not ultimately about escaping anxiety, finding inner balance, or recovering emotional health – valuable though those things may be. It is about communion with the living God.

You're not a Christian because you're better, smarter, or have a softer heart than others. You're a Christian because the Father chose you in the Son, the Son fulfilled the conditions for your salvation, and the Spirit applied to you the redemptive benefits of the Son’s work.

Behind all of God’s covenanting with Adam, Noah, Abraham, Israel, David, and his elect, stands the covenant of redemption. Planned from eternity by the members of the Godhead, the covenant of redemption is the basis and driving purpose of all redemptive history.
