U.S. Figure Skating can confirm that several members of our skating community were sadly aboard American Airlines Flight 5342, which collided with a helicopter yesterday evening in Washington, D.C. These athletes, coaches, and family members were returning home from the National Development Camp held in conjunction with the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas.

We are devastated by this unspeakable tragedy and hold the victims’ families closely in our hearts. We will continue to monitor the situation and will release more information as it becomes available.

Ever since @RidePATCO increased @DRPA_PAandNJ presence at patco stations during rush hour. I’ve been witness to the officers rude treatment of homeless individual. Today they threw a man to the ground and pulled his pants off.

You know it’s funny. I’ve been using public transportation for years and a homeless person taking a nap has never made me feel threatened. But 4-6 officers walking around a platform sure does.

He has to scream before they even considered opening a door to provide him a privacy screen. I hope you cops are so proud of this repulsive unnecessary aggression.

@RidePATCO Not everyone has a credit card or would download an app for a 1x or occasionally use. This is a good solution for freedom card users. By offering a single use plastic card (instead of a more eco friendly paper card) you’re inviting an opportunity for MORE waste. not less.
