They had Brendan Frasier as the villain and didn't realize what a money maker this film had. I understand if it didn't meet James Gunn's DCU but just reshoot the Batman scenes?? Batman hardly appears in Batgirl Year One comics (which this Batgirl movie is apparently based off)
