Beginning this Monday, Carmel Utilities is conducting city fire hydrant flushing to more than 3,000 hydrants over the next 4-6 weeks. Flushing is a controlled, quick release of water from hydrants, to optimize water quality and confirm that each hydrant is operating properly.

Happy Spring! As part of the Republic Services trash and recycling residential program in Carmel, each household is allowed 20 extra bags or bundles of landscape per week, during the months of April and May. Please place bags on normal service day.

On February 5, 2026, Carmel Utilities is conducting sewer maintenance at W. Main St. & N. Guilford Rd. This involves lane closures & restrictions NB at the Guilford Rd & Main St roundabout between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. This will NOT affect Utilities water or sewer services.
