I thought I was done when the season ended. I wasn't ready to announce it, and I knew I needed some time to really decide, but I was pretty sure I played my last game. I was honest at that last press conference when I said I needed to look at myself and deicide if I still love
One of the greatest and most electrifying players in Mountaineer history.
Today, we honor Pat White by announcing his No. 5 will be retired this fall.

Mike Johnson wants people struggling with soaring gas prices, rent, and grocery bills to feel bad for members of Congress making “only” $174K a year, getting great healthcare, and taking months of vacation every year, and he’s using that to justify trading stocks while in office.
Totally out of touch
Atmospheric scientist here. Let me tell you what was actually "slashed" today.
Slashed: The Endangerment Finding — a 200-page scientific review upheld by the Supreme Court, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, and reaffirmed by the National Academies of Sciences in 2025.
Slashed: The legal authority to regulate carbon from cars, power plants, and factories. All of it. Gone in one afternoon.
Now here's what you're "saving":
Yesterday Trump ordered the Pentagon — the largest energy consumer on Earth — to buy coal electricity.
Coal costs $69–$169/MWh.
Wind costs $27–$53/MWh.
Solar costs $38–$78/MWh.
99% of U.S. coal plants cost more to run than replacing them with brand-new solar or wind.
That's your tax dollars buying the most expensive electricity on the market. By executive order. While the Peabody Energy CEO stood in the room.
And the human cost of what you're "saving"?
460,000 American deaths linked to coal pollution in 20 years. Coal PM2.5 is 2.1x deadlier than other air pollution. (Henneman et al., Science, 2023)
All to protect an industry that employs 44,000 people total. Clean energy employs 3.5 million.
Children die in school shootings and it’s “not the guns”.
Mass shootings claim lives multiple times a year and it’s “not the guns”.
Kyle Rittenhouse shot 3 people during a protest and it’s “not the guns”
ICE kills Alex Pretti, and suddenly it’s his fault because he “had a gun”
They told us Democrats would turn America into a show-your-papers society.
They told us Democrats would strip away the Second Amendment.
They told us Democrats would jail us for what we say.
They told us Democrats would drag us into more foreign wars.
They told us Democrats would cover up a child sex trafficking ring.
And then Republicans took power and decided to do all of it themselves.
To be clear: an insurrectionist using a Confederate flag pole to attack police guarding the US Capitol is dubbed a “patriot” and can receive a presidential pardon while US citizens in Minnesota exercising their 1st amendment rights to protest and assemble get executed.
Shapiro: J.D. Vance is profoundly and pathetically a weak human being, and he does whatever he thinks his boss wants him to do.
We saw a tragic end of life in Minnesota, where children were left without a mom and a spouse was left without her partner.
What we need right now is not idiotic gaslighting from the sitting vice president, but a thorough investigation…
Vance should be ashamed of himself—and he’s not. And I think that speaks to the weakness of his character.
Hope everyone does watch this video as Vance says. Renee Good tells the ICE officer who shoots her in the face three times, "That's fine dude. I'm not mad at you. I'm not mad at any of you." She tries to drive away. The ICE officer murders her then calls her a "fucking bitch."
We're so collectively desensitized to the US empire that we're not even registering the absurdity: the US - a country where guns are sold at Walmart - has just kidnapped the president of a sovereign nation (and head of the army) to charge him with "possession of machineguns"
> Republican gets elected President.
> Cuts benefits for the poor.
> Cuts taxes for the rich.
> Starts a war over oil.
It's crazy how it’s always the same thing every single time.
Donald Trump's wealth has nearly TRIPLED since he became president, driven largely by crypto ventures fueled by foreign governments.
We need a president who works to improve life for the millions who can’t afford food, housing or health care, not one who enriches himself.
Going on national TV to announce troop bonuses but then quietly taking it out of their housing allowance fund is so typical of this White House: Totally gimmicky, likely illegal, and ultimately accomplishing nothing.
Incredible how unhinged the GOP went off a 1.48% victory, the smallest PV win of the century. They thought they’d secured an eternal mandate: “woke is over,” mass deportations, slash Medicaid, tariffs, every other insane idea.
Totally ignored the reason they won: affordability.
In 2024, Republicans promised to lower the cost of groceries. In 2025, they’re shrugging it off, saying “food prices always go up.”
For too long, government’s failure to deliver has been treated as inevitable. My administration will prove that government can work for you.
Most Republicans are good people. Most Democrats are good people.
The White House says outrageous things to make you hate your neighbor.
Your neighbor isn’t the problem. The White House is.
