The extension was consulted by original course architect, Willie Auchterlonie, and had a ‘Bogey’ of 76. It was described by ‘Colonel Bogey’ in the Member’s Handbook for the year as ensuring that the course “presents as fine a test of golf as any in Lanarkshire”.

As the season got underway in 𝟏𝟗𝟐𝟐, golf was booming at Carnwath.

The course, different in order to what we know today, had just been extended to 18 holes. Guests could visit for one shilling and sixpence and the Railway Station connected golfers from all over to the town.

Our Invitational Silloth was once again a great success!

Despite the challenging conditions a fantastic turnout of players competed for a generous set of prizes including wine, spirits, golf clothing, clubs, balls, shoes, four balls and vouchers from local businesses.

Our Gents Team showed fantastic spirit on route to a vital Home victory over title contenders @crowwoodgolf last night.

Running out eventual 6-4 winners in what was a closely fought encounter, it leaves the team in a good position with three games remaining.

Our gents Club Championship has been modernised for a new era, now accompanied by the 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐮𝐩.

As a long standing member Charlie won our Championship on 3 occasions. His legacy lives on thanks to his family with this fantastic new memorial trophy.
