One of my many plans is to have a home library for my children because growing up in a home with a library has a positive and lasting effect on an individual's educational career.
I want to have a library with audiovisual materials where they can watch documentaries and watch African revolutionary leaders. An audiovisual library will help their numeracy and information and communication technology skills as well.
I'll be intentional about their knowledge of political leadership, economic leadership, entertainment, religion, and history.
I will pay attention to history because the study of history is an antidote to contemporary arrogance.

The Motion to set up the National Dialogue Committee was finally presented in the National Assembly today.

Co-sponsored by Leader of Majority Kimani Ichungwah and Leader of Minority @OpiyoWandayi the Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula gave notice that the debate for the National Dialogue Committee be conducted tomorrow.

This is what you need to know, so far.

1. The motion has asked for 60 days for the National Dialogue Committee to conduct its hearings and submit their report to the House for adoption.

2. The Committee will be required to "recommend appropriate legal and policy reforms on issues of Kenyans in line with the Constitution and respecting functional and institutional integrity of state organs." (TRANSLATION: Any recommendation that affects the basic structure of the Constitution will have to be sent to a referendum).

3. The committee shall report to the leadership of Kenya Kwanza and Azimio and after that submit its report to Parliament. (TRANSLATION: Ruto and Raila have the final say on what the report will look like. Please don't tell Gachagua.)

4. The committee may invite, engage with and consider submissions from stakeholders, collect views from the public and engage experts, professionals and other resource persons. (TRANSLATION: If you ever wanted to Change the Constitution, this is your chance to write down your memorandum, look for the location of Bomas of Kenya on Google Maps, and wait for the blue whistle).

5. “We need to seize the moment to look at the issues that confront our nation and deal with them in a way that will secure the country and make it safer for future generations." (TRANSLATION: This is the Constitutional moment you've all been waiting for).
