Israeli forces, accompanied by Jerusalem Municipality staff, stormed the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate land in Silwan. They expelled the Church's representative, confiscated equipment, uprooted trees, destroyed crops, and fenced off the property.

Palestinian farmers from Khirbet Wadi a-Rakhim in the South Hebron Hills noticed, on Saturday, 7 March 2026, four Israeli settlers, armed with sticks and clubs, grazing cattle on the farmers’ private land. They called the police and went over to the settlers, filming the incident. They demanded the settlers leave and tried to drive them and their cattle away from the crops. A violent confrontation developed as the residents tried to defend their land, during which one Palestinian resident and one settler were injured.
At some point, the farmers began moving away. Meanwhile, a settler named Luria Luski arrived in military uniform, carrying a rifle, on an ATV together with his brother, Shem Tov Luski. After that, the settlers went back to attacking the residents with clubs and stones. One of them beat Muhammad Shinaran, 57, on the head and legs with a club. His son Amir, 28, started coming his way to help his father. Luria Luski fired a shot in the air and when Amir continued approaching, pointed his gun at him and shot him dead. Immediately afterward, he fired again, injuring Amir’s brother Khaled, 33. The two brothers were taken to Beita Hospital, where Amir was pronounced dead.
Only after the injured men were taken to hospital did large military and police forces arrive. The soldiers invaded residents’ homes and searched them, confining women and children in a kitchen until 9:30 P.M. They took the recording device from the home’s security camera recording and left.
Luski claimed he acted in self-defense, yet Israel never even interrogated him.
From October 2023 and to May 30, 2026, Israel killed 1,082 Palestinians in the West Bank, 35 of them killed by settlers. Under Israel’s apartheid regime, Palestinian lives continue to be treated as utterly expendable.

“After we were stripped, they used dogs on us … we were crying and screaming.”
Mohammed, a Palestinian detainee, describes how attack dogs were used to abuse him in Israeli detention.

Joint violence by the military and settler militias is a central component of Israel’s ethnic cleansing policy in the West Bank.
In a violent, pre-planned attack, dozens of armed settlers accompanied by at least one soldier raided four Palestinian villages south of Nablus – Huwarah, ‘Einabus, Jama’in and ‘Asirah al-Qibliyah – on Saturday, 6 June 2026.
At least eight Palestinian residents were injured in the attack, two of them by shrapnel from gunfire. ‘Omar ‘Abd al-Hakim Dar Muhammad, 20, was admitted to intensive care with a brain hemorrhage and severe facial fractures.
The attackers caused massive damage to property and sources of income: they stole at least 44 sheep and a donkey, three vehicles, and expensive equipment from garages and from a concrete plant. They vandalized other vehicles and tried to set fire to the local council building in ‘Einabus.
The Nakba never ended. The Israeli apartheid regime is still committing genocide in Gaza and violently erasing entire communities across Palestine and Lebanon. I'm leading a resolution to recognize the 78th anniversary of Nakba and reaffirm Palestinian refugees' right of return.
Israel has turned its prisons into a network of torture camps for Palestinians. Prisoners are subjected to severe violence, deliberate humiliation, starvation, sleep deprivation, denial of medical care and abuse in everyfacility they are held in. Some have also been severely sexually assaulted. Since October 2023, at least 84 Palestinians have died in these torture camps.
The policymakers, and primarily Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, brag in TV puff pieces and on social media about what is happening in these torture camps.
Today, we published “Living Hell”, a report on the situation of Palestinians in Israeli custody. It is based on the testimonies of Palestinians released in recent months, along with research, reports, news updates and Israel Prison Service figures, and continues our previous report on the issue, “Welcome to Hell”, from August 2024.
Systematic, deliberate abuse continues to define Israel’s policy toward Palestinian prisoners in its custody, and is another feature of the Israeli regime’s coordinated onslaught on the Palestinian people.

In addition to Israel routinely beating, starving, torturing and raping Palestinians in its detention camps, new research by Israel's Physicians for Human Rights reveals that, in 2024, some 200 children were put in total isolation inside tiny punishment cells.
With temperatures already reaching 34°C this week, residents of the Gaza Strip are facing extreme heat with no regular access to water. Over two and a half years of genocidal assault, the Israeli military has systematically destroyed more than 84% of the Strip’s water and sanitation infrastructure, leading to the total collapse of basic living systems.
Even now, seven months after the “ceasefire” agreement came into effect, Israel continues to block the entry of essential equipment needed for reconstruction. The military is preventing the entry of filtration systems, tanks and construction materials required to operate these systems, thereby preventing any possibility of restoring healthcare and water systems for millions of people.
In the displacement camps, the reality is unbearable. Families are forced to live alongside flowing sewage and piles of garbage accumulating between the tents. Due to the severe shortage, displaced people are routinely forced to use contaminated, undrinkable water. Many report having to forgo bathing or cooking to save the little clean water they have for drinking.
The deadly combination of heat, pollution and lack of basic hygiene conditions is leading to the spread of severe skin and intestinal diseases. The few remaining water sources become contaminated more quickly in high temperatures, causing dehydration and acute diarrhea, especially among children. Experts estimate that the combined damage to infrastructure led to thousands of indirect deaths already in the first year of the assault.
By continuing to block humanitarian aid and deliberately destroy life-sustaining infrastructure, Israel is perpetuating conditions in Gaza that are unfit for human habitation.
The genocide in the Gaza Strip continues.

Israel is running a network of torture camps for Palestinians. Our reports, Welcome to Hell and Hell on Earth, extensively documented a reality of extreme violence, starvation, and torture.
Now, in a major @nytimes investigation, journalist @NickKristof published terrible testimonies concerning sexual violence and the use of sodomy as a tool of interrogation and humiliation by Israeli forces.
Palestinian prisoners are subjected to severe violence, deliberate humiliation, starvation, sleep deprivation, denial of medical care, and abuse in every facility where they are held.
These abusive practices are fully backed by the political leadership, which openly boasts about the harsh prison conditions. Some inmates are subjected to severe sexual assaults.
At least 88 Palestinians have died in Israeli detention facilities since October 2023 as a result of inhumane conditions, violence, starvation, and the denial of medical treatment.
Despite the extensive evidence, media investigations, and reports issued by Israeli and international organizations documenting torture in Israeli prisons, the international community continues to stand by and allow Israel to commit crimes against the Palestinian people.

The Israeli government is about to pass a law mandating the death penalty, only for Palestinian prisoners. Mass execution by hanging, solely on racial lines. This is apartheid and the next step in the genocide of Palestinians, already systematically tortured in Israeli prisons.
The ethnic cleansing in East Jerusalem is happening now! Large Israeli forces entered the Silwan neighborhood today, 25 March, to evict 11 Palestinian families from their homes.
Amidst the ongoing illegal and lethal Israeli-American offensive against Iran, Israel is expanding its ethnic cleansing in East Jerusalem, throwing Palestinian families into the streets. The eviction of 11 families, marks the continuation of a massive displacement wave: approximately 2,200 people in Silwan are facing an imminent threat of forced displacement, 150 families (1,500 individuals) in al-Bustan and 90 families (700 individuals) in Baten al-Hawa.
This is the reality of systematic, institutionalized violence and a clear manifestation of an Israeli policy aimed at engineering the demographic balance and "Judaizing" the neighborhood by exploiting discriminatory laws. These measures are designed to expand Israeli presence and control over one of the most politically and religiously sensitive areas in the region, serving as a crucial component of the broader ethnic cleansing currently unfolding across the West Bank.
As of March 2026, some 9,446 Palestinians are held in Israeli prisons; 4,691 of them are under administrative detention, imprisoned without charge, trial, or the ability to defend themselves.
Even during the illegal and deadly Israeli-American attack on Iran, Israel continues to operate a network of torture camps for Palestinian prisoners from north to south, where they are subjected to systematic abuse, including physical and psychological violence, inhuman conditions, starvation and denial of medical treatment.
84 identified Palestinians, including one minor, have died in Israeli torture camps over the last two years, and there is grave concern that the real number is higher.
This policy persists with the full support of Israel’s political establishment, judicial system, prison authorities and media. The Israel Prison Service and the Minister for National Security have publicly bragged about the harsh conditions imposed on Palestinian prisoners.
These torture camps are part of the planned, extensive assault Israel is waging against Palestinian society, intended to break down and destroy Palestinians as a group.

Mustafa Barghouti, a Palestinian politician and secretary-general of the Palestinian National Initiative, has called on people to support the Red Ribbons Campaign — a global solidarity initiative aimed at supporting Palestinian detainees and raising awareness of their suffering and rights.
More than 9,100 Palestinians are currently held in Israeli prisons, including over 450 women and children.
