I serve as assistant US ministries director at Elim Fellowship. Pastored for 27 years. Married for 35 years to Chris Ball and have three wonderful children.
Today’s verdict represents the culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved: a leftist prosecutor, a partisan judge and a jury reflective of one of the most liberal enclaves in America—all in an effort to “get” Donald Trump.
That this case—involving alleged misdemeanor business records violations from nearly a decade ago—was even brought is a testament to the political debasement of the justice system in places like New York City. This is especially true considering this same district attorney routinely excuses criminal conduct in a way that has endangered law-abiding citizens in his jurisdiction.
It is often said that no one is above the law, but it is also true that no one is below the law. If the defendant were not Donald Trump, this case would never have been brought, the judge would have never issued similar rulings, and the jury would have never returned a guilty verdict.
In America, the rule of law should be applied in a dispassionate, even-handed manner, not become captive to the political agenda of some kangaroo court.
It’s God’s presence plus His promise that chases away our anxious thoughts.
So in the places where you are feeling alone and afraid... remember, God is right there with you.
Acknowledge His presence.
Proclaim His promises.
These are the sweetest comforts I know.
In case you thought the legal offensive against President Trump wasn't sinister enough, left-wing law professors are now arguing that the 14th Amendment bars Trump from running for office again WITHOUT ANY criminal conviction. They're arguing, in effect, that he is guilty until proven innocent, and they claim that any government official is empowered to pass this judgment on him.
The obvious purpose of this is a backup plan. Even if all of Jack Smith and Fani Willis's rigged charges fail, their plan is to get swing-state radicals like Adrian Fontes in Arizona or Jocelyn Benson in Michigan to unilaterally kick Trump off the ballot in order to make the 2024 election unwinnable.
Nobody is a bigger enemy of democratic elections or our Constitution than elite Democrats.
There is truly nothing funnier than this MSNBC host ranting about what Elon Musk could do to Twitter, and accidentally giving a perfect description of how Twitter has actually operated for the last five years
.@TheBabylonBee was suspended from @Twitter & @elonmusk bought it. Will #FreeSpeech be restored? We hope so. The Bee’s CEO @SethDillon gives us his take. The full interview streams exclusively on @foxnation – plus: unlock free sign-up offers only at https://t.co/voL1Yti7Mo
So, so many women leaders and women in ministry have experienced these things. I have so many of my own stories I could share. Thank you @BethMooreLPM for deciding for fried chicken 😊 https://t.co/uiz0pKxmHt
Thank u, @BethMooreLPM. I was once invited to preach on a Sunday morning, & the pastor said: "Men, Jen has a few words to share with the ladies & we'll just peek over their shoulders until she is finished." Humiliating, condescending, shocking even since he invited me to preach. https://t.co/HRWgWJh0sN
Wolf even “joked” about the killing of babies as she mocked @VP Pence’s position against abortion. What gall. I have news for her—Mike Pence isn’t the only one who believes abortion is murder; I believe it is, millions of Americans believe it is, and most importantly so does God.
