The @UOPacific community is heartbroken over the passing of @PacificBaseball head coach Reed Peters. An iconic figure in the California baseball community, Coach Peters joined the @PacificTigers just two years ago and led the program to one of its best seasons in history. I was with Skip two weeks ago in Scottsdale as he piloted the Tigers to our first ever @WCCsports tournament appearance. Hard to believe he’s gone, but we are so grateful for his life-changing coaching, mentoring and teaching of hundreds of student-athletes both at Pacific and @SJDCBaseball. #wccsports #ncaabaseball #RIP
Many heard about our big announcement earlier this week: the launch of a School of Medicine at @UOPacific. But what few know is that Pacific actually started the very first #medicalschool in the Western United States – back in 1858. Today it is better known as Stanford University School of Medicine. #MedicalEducation #PacificSchoolofMedicine #PacificProud https://t.co/J8ubs4NOeW
We are proud to unveil plans for the School of Medicine at @UOPacific, designed to address the dangerous and growing physician shortages across the #CentralValley and beyond. The Pacific School of Medicine will be California’s first M.D.-granting institution outside of the population centers of Southern California, the Bay Area and Sacramento. #PacificSchoolofMedicine #PacificProud https://t.co/11UsRTIIAF
.@usnews ranks @PacificMcGeorge’s Trial Advocacy program No. 16 in the nation and the Dispute Resolution program No. 24. Congratulations to our outstanding @UOPacific McGeorge School of Law faculty. #PacificProud https://t.co/8e0yrXSdSW
Tomorrow we will be cheering on @PacificBaseball as the team competes in the @WCCsports Tournament, the program’s first postseason appearance in 28 years. But today we salute the remarkable academic achievements of our student-athletes, led by five @PacificTigers receiving #wccsports All-Academic honors. Sophomore SS Robert Orr (applied economics) was named to the WCC All-Academic Team with a 3.92 GPA while P Regan Carter (junior - business), RF Braeden Schnabel (junior – applied economics), P Ethan Shaver (graduate student – emergency management) and IN Jake Tandy (senior – engineering physics) were all-conference honorable mentions. #PacificProud
Grateful to award-winning photojournalist Cliff Oto for curating a beautiful photo essay of https://t.co/o9oLAZusiK images of the late Don DeRosa, who served @UOPacific with distinction as our president from 1995 to 2009. #PacificProud https://t.co/S00QpD848k
We are heartbroken to mourn the passing of former President Donald V. DeRosa, who transformed @UOPacific during his 14 years as our 23rd president from 1995 to 2009. #RIP https://t.co/32FyQFj9R5
Congrats to @PacificMensBB and Coach Dave Smart, who orchestrated one of the nation’s biggest turnarounds this year, punctuated by reaching the @WCCsports quarterfinals & securing an 18-win season. Can't wait 'til next season! #WCChoops#PacificProud https://t.co/T66iYH1aao
Great @SFGate story on how our iconic @UOPacific campus came to be the backdrop for “Ludlow College,” the fictional New England school that is the setting for @HBO's new comedy series “Rooster” starring #stevecarell. #PacificProud https://t.co/uVaw0MSEn2
The historic campus of @UOPacific will be on full display for millions of @HBO viewers starting next month when “Rooster” starring Steve Carell debuts March 8. The new #HBO comedy, filmed on campus over the summer, reignites Pacific’s long history with Hollywood. #PacificProud https://t.co/EmJA52YQq0
