I read somewhere that nothing exposes low-effort men like your birthday. If he fumbled your birthday, imagine the rest of your life with him and I couldn’t agree more
Half of the time, the “peace” a lot of men ask for when they talk about wanting a partner that brings peace is silence and acceptance when they misbehave or act disrespectfully.
"Thank you,Mr Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. One of my favourite books is Nice Girls Don’t Get the Corner Office. This is in response to what you told me earlier in the morning when you urged me to be a good example to the girls, the younger ones who are doing their first term. Mr Speaker, if they are good girls, they will never get the corner office. Be as bad as Millie Odhiambo and you will be the mother of this House. I am a bad girl and as a bad girl I am here serving my fourth term.
So do not be cheated like in the African culture where you are told to have decorum, dress nicely, be kind and nice. You will go nowhere. Be a bad girl like me and you will get somewhere."
Today we joined the global community in launching the 16 Days of Activism under the theme “End Digital Violence Against all Women and Girls”. It is unfortunate that such ‘content’ is being posted on a day that the global community is reflecting on digital violence.
The chatter on the timeline just reminded me of the first time I received a cheque in the US (it was actually a refund from @MichiganStateU for my preview day trip — when they had invited me to check the school out). I told my friend I was going to the bank to cash a cheque, and he was so confused as to why I’d do that. Turns out, all I needed to do was take a photo of the cheque and upload it in the app.
Four years in the U.S. soon (WILD), been inside the bank twice: to open my personal accounts, and to open the @NthaFoundation account. Have never once needed to use cash.
Big, big fan of digitized services. Skill the masses. KYC this and that. Democratize access. Good luck to all. 🩵
