Currently, Grand Arena requires players to both own NFT cards and pay an entry fee to participate in contests.

When gameplay variance is high and entry fees are involved, it can be difficult for new players to approach the game with confidence. Many players who are still learning may experience repeated losses, which quickly makes the risk feel too high.

As a result, some players begin selling their cards when they feel it is difficult to play sustainably or generate consistent returns.

However, the game clearly has strong potential. With a few thoughtful adjustments, I believe Grand Arena could become much more accessible, engaging, and sustainable for both new players and long-term holders.

Here are a few suggestions that could help move the ecosystem in a healthier direction:

1️⃣ Add Free Contests Based on Card Rarity

For example:

• Full Rare lineups
• Full Epic lineups
• Full Legendary lineups

These contests could be free to enter, with daily or weekly rewards for players who achieve the highest rankings.

Suggested structure:

• Total prize pool: $100–$500 per day (treated as marketing budget)
• Rewards distributed based on leaderboard ranking
• Limit 3–5 lineups per player to prevent spam

If free contests existed:

• Players could test their lineups
• Learn how to build stronger teams
• Play consistently without the pressure of losing money
• Extra or unused cards would still have meaningful utility

2️⃣ Add Rewards for Card Holders

Currently, if players do not participate in contests, their cards generate almost no value.

Possible improvements:

• Small weekly rewards for holders
• Card staking systems
• Staking full series collections to generate Gems

This would give NFTs passive utility and help reduce large-scale sell-offs.

3️⃣ Add Non-Betting Gameplay Modes

Some gameplay modes that do not require entry fees could include:

• Free tournaments
• PvP deck-builder gameplay

Rewards could be smaller, but they would still create real gameplay engagement without requiring players to risk Gems every time they play.

4️⃣ Increase Utility for Full Art 1/1 Cards

If Full Art 1/1 cards are only useful in paid contests, they can easily be dumped when players stop competing.

Additional utility could include:

• Bonus mXP generation
• Extra seasonal rewards
• Access to special contests
• Free entry to certain contests

This would help preserve the long-term value of high-rarity cards.
