أشعرُ بالقرب أكثر من أي وقت مضى من الشعب اللبناني الحبيب في هذه الأيام المليئة بالألم والخوف والأمل الذي لا يقهر في الله. مبدأ الإنسانية، المخطوط في ضمير كل شخص والمعترف به في القوانين الدولية، يفرض الواجب الأخلاقي في حماية السكان المدنيين من ال��ثار الفظيعة للحرب. أوجه نداءً إلى أطراف النزاع ل��قف إطلاق النار والبحث بشكل عاجل عن حل سلمي.

طلبتُ اليوم من الأمين العام لوزارة الخارجية والمغتربين استدعاء القائم بالأعمال الإيراني في لبنان، لإبلاغه قرار سحب الموافقة على اعتماد السفير الإيراني المعيّن محمد رضا شيباني وإعلانه شخصاً غير مرغوب فيه، مع إلزامه مغادرة الأراضي اللبنانية في مهلة أقصاها 29 آذار 2026.

تُق��م اليوم في لبنان جنازة الأب بيار الراعي، كاهن الرعية الماروني في إحدى القرى المسيحية بجنوب لبنان، التي تعيش هذه الأيام، مرة أخرى، مأساة الحرب. أنا قريب من الشعب اللبناني أجمع في هذه اللحظة من المحنة الش��يدة. لقد كان الأب بيار راعيًا حقيقيًا، بقي دائمًا إلى جانب شعبه بمحبة وتضحية يسوع الراعي الصالح. فبمجرد أن سمع بإصابة بعض أبناء رعيته جراء قصف، ركض لمساعدتهم بدون تردد. ليجعل الرب من دمه الذي سُفك بذور سلام للبنان الحبيب.
