@Sportsnet Hey Blue Jays, anywhere else to watch your games besides SportsNet and the occasional Friday on AppleTV?
I pay a premium for SportsNet to be able to watch the Blue Jays but NOT showing our Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in the Canadian Tennis Open may make me cancel SporsNet.
@Sportsnet@KrRutherford How about showing the Canadian Felix play live on at least ONE of your channels! It’s the Canada Open and you claim to be Canada’s Sports station…yeah, no.
I am so sad to hear this. Jessie was direct, supportive, dedicated —one of my first connections when I became active in the labour movement & politics. I was always happy to see her because I knew she wouldn’t hold back in her opinions. Honoured to have crossed paths with her.
Over 50 people gathered in Kelowna to write postcards to their MPs today for #RainbowEquality. I just counted 179 cards. The big stack of 99 is for @TracyGrayKLC. We used the beautiful You Belong postcards from @AdvocacyCanada1
Since the @sd61schools Police Liaison Program issue has the most incredible legs, here is a long response from my perspective, an elementary teacher in the system, and union representative.
It starts by acknowledging that the issue has been a PR godsend for a struggling VicPD.

BC teachers stand with our colleagues in Saskatchewan, who are fighting for the fair class size and composition that all students deserve! We know that our working conditions are also our students’ learning conditions. @SaskTeachersFed#skpoli
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s comments represent a huge step backward in our movement toward a more inclusive and accepting society. It’s discouraging to see trans women, who represent a small and vulnerable segment of the population, being used for political gain… 1/2
Teacher shortages, anti-SOGI protests, Surrey school space… 1st Vice-President @carolegordonbc covers it all in a midterm report with @jodyvance on @CKNW. Listen here: https://t.co/yT2iexHm7I #bced#bcpoli
We all need to organize against efforts in #cdnpoli and on #bced school boards to take Canada backwards. When youth are supported and free to be themselves, they thrive. American-style right wing rhetoric will cause harm, pain, and make schools less safe. https://t.co/YpHZgsD0NC
.@ClintJohnston7 says parents deserve answers to Qs like, "Is this the teacher my child’s going to have all year? ... Is there a teacher for my child’s class, or is it someone who’s backfilling just for a little while? And, sometimes ... is this teacher certified?” #bcpoli#bced
BCTF stands with @UniteHere40 and the @bcfed in their fight for fair wages and job protections at the Sheraton and Radisson Blu hotels in Richmond. We do a lot of our meetings there and won’t be back until workers are treated fairly. #bced#bcpoli
Spoke to UBCO teacher candidates this morning on the advocacy, supports & benefits of the BCTF, and the rights of members and their responsibilities — individually & collectively — to students, to each other & to community. @bctf 1/3
Also gave a shout out to @TheBogie74 to follow him on Twitter and see an example of the amazing advocacy local presidents do on behalf of staff & students to make schools inclusive & welcoming places. #SOGI#ElectionsMatter 2/3
