when church leaders (pharisees) threw an ADULTERER at Jesus, He had every right to tell the woman that she was in the the wrong. she was indeed, caught in the act of sexual immorality. however, the Jesus I know NEVER sided with the oppressor.

in fact, He often shut them up, to speak love to the oppressed. He said, “where are those who condemn you?” and THEN ,”go and sin no more”. in case it wasn’t clear, that’s Jesus’ job, not ours.

just to be clear, it doesn’t matter what you “believe”. it’s biblical to support the rights and fair treatment of the LGBTQ+ community. again, just the basic idea of standing for/with the oppressed. what is so confusing/ controversial about that?

Germany doesn’t have Nazi monuments to “remind” citizens of their history. Instead, they have memorials for the 6 million Jews and others who were murdered.

The U.S. doesn’t need statues of confederate generals to “remind” us. We need monuments for Nat Turner & Harriet Tubman.

there comes a certain point when issues go from being “political” to issues about basic human rights. I’m not a very “political” person, but it’s biblical to stand with the oppressed.
