Christians adding “nuance” to Charlie Kirk’s assassination by saying, “Yeah, we shouldn’t celebrate murder, but he was also kind of racist” want a pat on the back for their reasonableness. Sorry, I’m not going to congratulate you for not cheering when a Christian gets assassinated. That is *bare minimum* decency that we’d expect from even non-believers. You’re using his tragic death to do what you regularly do anyway - call conservatives racist. No attaboy from me.

Erika, as a Christian widow, rightly forgives her husband’s killer, obeying Christ’s command to pray for enemies and entrusting vengeance to God (Rom. 12:19; Matt. 5:44). Her refusal to hate reflects the gospel of grace.

President Trump, as the civil magistrate, rightly burns with righteous anger, for God has entrusted him with the sword to punish evil and uphold justice (Rom. 13:4). His call for the death penalty does not contradict Erika’s forgiveness but complements it: she lays aside personal vengeance, while he bears public responsibility.

Critics confuse categories. Private forgiveness does not annul public justice; public justice does not negate Christian mercy.

In Christ’s order, both stand together. Grace in the believer and justice in the ruler, each under God’s sovereign judgment.

We British Christians would get excited when, once a year, Queen Elizabeth would make a mild but sincere reference to the love of Jesus Christ in her Christmas address.

In Charlie Kirks' Memorial service, watched by tens of millions, I just heard:
- Multiple clear presentations of the gospel from men like @robmccoyus and @DrFrankTurek with clear calls to repentance and faith
- Worship songs full of Scripture sung by tens of thousands live and millions at home
- Personal testimonies of lives transformed by the work of Christ and the witness of believers
- Demonstration and explanation of the value of marriage, child-rearing and family
- Calls to Romans 13 for the government to bear the sword for the protection of good and punishment of the wicked
- Declarations of spiritual warfare on the forces of evil and promises to endure no matter the cost
- Calls to be prophets and call the nation to repent
- More Scripture references and Bible readings than I can count
- And a widow publicly forgiving her husband's killer because Christ forgave his killers on the cross.

All of it done before, and by, the most powerful people in your nation and the world.

You guys should be on your knees thanking God for your country. It is a light to the world.

Never stop fighting for it.

Since Charlie’s murder, the stoning of Stephen has come to mind many times. He was murdered by angry men because he preached the gospel. At the end of the passage, we read that Saul approved of his killing. Saul then goes on to encounter Jesus and become the greatest Christian missionary to ever live. Now, every time I see the vileness from Ilhan, AOC, and so many others regarding Charlie, I pray for their repentance. I pray right then that Jesus would convict them, transform them, and use them the way He used Paul. May it be so

I live in Western North Carolina.

I watched Joe Biden hand out billions of dollars to Ukraine.

Yet, nearly every single day here, we would get calls from families with young kids who lost their homes, begging for shelter.

During those months, I truly lost all hope.

I watched BILLIONS of dollars go out the door to another country's war, while we were driving RVs to KIDS AND THEIR PARENTS living in tents, garages, a tool sheds.

You will never convince me that Ukraine deserved billions while American citizens in Western North Carolina had to beg each other for help.

Unless you lived through that experience... unless you personally dropped off an RV at the doorstep of American mountain momma and her kids who lost everything, like I did...

...you do NOT get to tell me what we "owe" Ukraine

I wasn't a MAGA person back then. I was honestly a stuck-up jerk who thought I was better than you because I got my news from "the experts".

I couldn't have been more wrong.

Once you see the media turn on you, your own government abandon you, the bubble begins to burst.

Then, you can't unsee it.

"America First" isn't just a slogan.

It's a blood-curling-scream into the night for all of us who were abandoned by our own government when we needed it the most...

J.D. Vance came out of nowhere for me, I’d never even heard of him before he was asked to be Trumps VP but now he has completely redefined the role of VP for me in just a few weeks.
