Today marks the start of #CarersWeek - a week to recognise the importance of #carers and to highlight the support available to them. ๐
This week, we'll be sharing some things you may or may not be aware of that may help you in your caring role.
We understand how vital dementia carers are, which is why we're here to support you: https://t.co/23XoSOiEHf
At the @SuffolkShow this afternoon, Farmers Guide managing director Julie Goulding and director Greg Goulding were invited to attend a cheque presentation on the @tnstractors stand, where the company announced it had raised an astonishing ยฃ308,000 for @DementiaUK ๐ The charity was chosen following the loss of John Thurlow in 2024.
Last year, our team received a lovely letter from James Thurlow sharing how much of a fan his father was of Farmers Guide:
โDad was to the end a true ambassador for FG, regaling stories of his time when Doug approached him for support with a new East Anglia farming publication. Iโm sure dad, nor Doug ever really realised the success that FG would see. Three generations of family, millions of publications and highly regarded throughout the farming world. This is something to be exceptionally proud of. Thank you to you and thank you to the team at FG!โ
Starting in Stowmarket as George Thurlow and Sons in 1875, TNS celebrated its 150th anniversary last year and remains proudly family-run six generations on ๐
Here James Thurlow is pictured presenting the ยฃ308,000 cheque to (l) Sarah Child, community fundraising manager of Dementia UK, and (r) Caroline Scates director of nursing services at Dementia UK.
