TBT - A year and a half ago, I was blessed to connect with two beautiful people in London, Sally Ford and Rebecca Tessier. I feel blessed to have had this experience!

A chapter in my book talks about retiring with grace. Clark and I are on a number of non-profit boards, and Clark continues to volunteer and be of service. We feel honored to be of service to our community. You can purchase "Work, Play, Pray Hard" here: https://t.co/MUuQ92A0DI
Throwback Thursday - One of my very favorite joys from my teaching career was working with Readers' Theatre. They worked hard, but were rewarded with placing in all tournaments. But even more, learning to work together as a team was what I felt was the highest reward.
There's a chapter in my book, "Work, Play, Pray Hard" about playing hard. Our recent family vacation at the Greenbrier gave us an opportunity to have so much fun at a wonderful historical resort.

This labradoodle puppy moans and groans in pure ecstasy as his owner gives him a neck rub. My grandpuppy, Rocky, is fun to be with on any day of the week. Go get somebody to rub your neck!
I am most appreciative of this plaque, especially because this year the Nashville Catholic Middle School Forensic League celebrates 30 years. This year, we will honor the League by creating a hall of fame. It will honor former students, coaches, and friends of forensics.
In Clark's book, there is a chapter about paying attention to little things. A recent visit to the Greenbrier confirms this tidbit of wisdom is true. Our grandkids enjoyed having a smoothie in a pineapple.

Being with my grandchildren, I've realized that they are too plugged in --- and I am too. We need to use some of this internet time to instead have fun conversations with our loved ones.
Years ago at my mother's farm, we were taken hostage by several snapping turtles! My 80 year old mother came home from church, saw the turtles, simply picked them up by the tails and put them in the bucket! We can learn so much from strong farm women!
One of my tidbits of wisdom is celebrate anything. Recently, our friend David celebrated his birthday with a social distancing party. But he couldn't resist getting close to Natasha Neely, aka Dolly Parton!

I love this because it doesn't have to be anything huge, but just reach out, smile at somebody, give a kind word, bring somebody groceries, surprise them with a cup of coffee, or send an e-card to somebody that you know who needs it.
