@PearlJam Both days and being drenched with rain didn’t matter. I have the misprinted sweatshirt! Also loved when Eddie came out to sing in the afternoon with one of my other favorites - John Doe.
Coyote vs. Acme is good. Like shockingly good. I grew up watching Looney Tunes with my dad and we both particularly loved the Coyote & Road Runner sketches and this feels like one big love letter to that era. It’s filled with great gags and jokes but also a shocking amount of heart that kind of surprised me. I found myself really liking the friendship between Wile and Will Forte’s character and it’s crazy that they were able to give real development to a silent cartoon character who was introduced over 75 years ago. Also a really timeless message for both young and old about being willing to hold big evil corporations accountable for their actions, even if it seems useless. There was a Pepe Le Pew joke that had me dying of laughter. Warner Bros. should be ashamed for shelving this. Sometimes the cartoon logic doesn’t blend as well with the courtroom stuff, but for the most part I was surprised how well they made it all work. What a delightful movie!
Mike “Little Man” Johnson (can’t even keep the government open!), Kevin “Can’t Count” McCarthy (failed speaker!) and all the pathetic Trump henchman are spending MILLIONS to stop Prop 50 and help Trump rig elections.
Public libraries should be spaces that are welcoming and inclusive for all, regardless of their religious beliefs or political views. But a noisy bunch of "residents" in Huntington Beach Public Library disagree. Vote YES on A and B by June 10 to protect our library from politicians.
@SupportHBPL Better than NBC’s coverage. I’d like to see some Yes signs calling out the privatization issue - that’s less complicated and not as easy to twist as issue A so might bring out more Yes voters imho.
@NBCLA Why did you have the council member responsible for these signs speak 2x on your report last night but no word from the group that worked hard to get these initiatives on the ballot?
Mailbag: Huntington Beach voters will decide fate of city’s libraries https://t.co/pLcicXKfvP VOTE YES on Measures A and B to protect our public library!
24-Hour Economic Blackout. In support of the 24-Hour Economic Blackout, Pearl Jam is closing the Ten Club Shop on February 28th. For more info on how to participate in the blackout, visit https://t.co/PFEYk4PuQe
Dems in HB and others who received a ballot for this 1 position race please vote to prevent MAGA Strickland from winning this seat! He's one of the council members behind the library privatization scheme.
@Huntbeachcj Any advice on which of the 2 Dem candidates for District 36 to vote for so we can keep Tony Strickland out of the office? Hoping it’s not a losing battle….
Already understaffed. A lot of them are nearing retirement age because they all got hired when Reagan fired everyone asking for fair wages so they may be tempted to take the “deal”. Flying may be getting a lot riskier very soon.
They can't spin this away. The Trump administration contacted air traffic controllers, offering buyouts to leave their jobs. It's a very easily proven fact.
