The growth of this community over the past months has been incredible and it’s genuinely a pleasure discussing the game with so many sharp managers every week. I will continue saying this matchday after matchday.

I’m also aware that the common format nowadays is something quicker and easier to scan: a few names, a quick draft, and that’s it. These threads tend to be longer and more reflective by nature, which I know isn’t always the easiest format to digest.

But that’s also the style I enjoy writing and discussing the game in. So if you made it all the way here, thank you for taking the time to read it, engaging and commenting. Really.

Before the deadline, we’ll also be hosting a live #UCLFantasy Space with @TheFPLManual, around 45 minutes before kickoff, where we’ll go through last-minute dilemmas, react to the Liverpool–Galatasaray lineups and answer your questions.

Six teams double in GW29:

Celtic (A + A)
Motherwell (H + A)
Dundee United (A + H)
Aberdeen (A + H)
Dundee (H + H)
St Mirren (A + A)

Normally you’d want 11 doublers.

BUT 👇

If you’re tripled up on Hearts (H v Aberdeen), I would NOT rip them out. Hearts have an excellent home record v Aberdeen and I strongly fancy them.

Don’t blindly chase doubles. Chase strong fixtures #FFScotland
