Today, I appointed members to the House General Investigating Committee on the July 2025 Flooding Events. This committee will work alongside our Senate partners to thoroughly examine the tragedy at Camp Mystic and identify how Texas can better prepare for future disasters. The magnitude of this loss and devastation demands nothing less than a full and comprehensive review.

Thank you to Chairman @MorganMeyerTX, members of the committee, Lt. Gov. @DanPatrick, and the Senate for their partnership and commitment to strengthening the safety of communities across our state.
