The Brill community herd is owned by 270 people and has 50 volunteers looking after them.

I haven’t heard of a herd owned and cared for by the community before. Is this the future? I’d love to hear more about community owned herds if you know of any! 🐮

Thrilled to visit Brill Common, a cherished @FutureNatureWTC client. For 2 year, we’ve teamed up with the community to manage this historic land for nature. Their community owned Dexters play a crucial role, grazing to restore species rich grassland. They even graze for @BBOWT !

The key to success lies in farmer-led initiatives. Farm cluster groups are no exception. They need the insight, expertise, and passion of those working the land to drive real change.

Discussed lots, from cover crops to water conservation strategies, increasing farmers buying power and ability to apply for funding. I love clusters. I think they can make a big impact when done right 👍🏻

An interesting day with @earth_trust @WildOxfordshire and @NWessexDowns who are looking to create a new cluster group in the North Wessex Downs. Amazing venue!
