God says, “For I know the plans I have for you. . . . They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT).
God is thinking about you, and His thoughts are very good. They’re about your future, and they’re thoughts of giving you hope. He is not against you.
Therefore, when you come to the Lord, say, “Here are my plans. But if You have something different in mind, I surrender to You, because You know best.”
God wants us to love Him more than anyone else. He wants us to want His will more than anyone else’s will.
And what God does in our lives will be better than what we ever could have done on our own.
Lord, You know exactly what I am facing. Help me believe that this battle before me won’t last forever. You are faithful to deliver me from the things that weigh on my mind and heart. I trust you, Lord. Amen (Psalm 34:19)
God can handle all of the things we know we can’t. He is our possible in the midst of what can sometimes feel so impossible. And we can place our hope in Him.
“Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” Psalm 25:5
God is our rescuer. He is the One who will sustain us. And He is more than able to bring His plans to pass.
“Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” Isaiah 46:4
Here’s one thing I always know for certain … what the enemy meant for evil God will use for good.
I will trust in God. Serve God. And even in the darkest nights when I still cry, I will find rest in the light of his love. Then tomorrow, I’ll get up and do it all again.
School secretary here…today someone called and asked to speak to our AD. I said, “I’m sorry he’s not available right now because he’s running in the Boston Marathon!”
