The biggest difference is the focus on soft skills. Understanding how to empower a team instead of overpowering them.
A game designer must go beyond game design and master the soft skills many don’t think of until it’s too late. That’s one of the reasons I wrote this book

@Ninfa_dp I agree with many of the sentiments in the other comments. Games don’t need to be skill based as they can be games of chance, but all games have goals. It’s what separates them from toys, interactive stories, or play.
