Our 5th grade researchers got to interview 1st graders to find out what kids really want in their play dough for our Play Dough Product Design PBL! Stay tuned for our final play dough creations! @Benton_STEM@FloydClass@BrockmanLacy#cpsbest#PBL#STEM#Bentonbold
@Benton_STEM@CarrowHive Students connecting the engineering design process to their Mars project and thinking how to explain it to other students #Bentonbold
We upcycled our breakfast cereal containers into planters. Ss used an old styrofoam egg carton for drainage, preventing the plastic and styrofoam from going into the landfill! @Benton_STEM#ReduceReuseRecycle#upcycle#plants#STEM
Space Club Bonus Mission! @CarrowHive used our new @KidSparkEdu Rok Block kits to design trucks that would pick up moon debris from a crashed cargo rocket and bring it back to their lunar bases. Thanks @JulieANichols for the kits! @VivifySTEM#BentonBold
Ss designed great roof top gardens and parks for buildings and abandoned lots in Columbia. They wanted to beautify places, help fight carbon emissions and grow food to help the homeless!

@mkuensti@Benton_STEM We haven’t explored the underground much yet but that’s next! We melted ice for our water since we could only bring 1 chest of resources/materials with us.
Day 3 of our Mars colony, look at that sunset! We have grown and harvested our first carrots and wheat! Good thing too because we were running out of the food we brought with us! @Benton_STEM#STEM#MarsColony#Success#CPSBest
We had a busy science filled day @Benton_STEM We experimented with the density of M&M coloring, started making our dome prototypes for our Mars Colony AND made light up cards with @MrRay_Media#CPSBest#STEM#Bentonbold
