I appreciate the leadership of @AGTennessee Skrmetti, Chancellor @DondePlowman and @AD_DannyWhite in standing up for the rights of our student-athletes in Tennessee and beyond. Our university and our elected leaders in state and federal government have shown an unflinching commitment to ethical integrity. They are not just defending the moral fiber of @UTKnoxville but are also championing the rights of student-athletes across the nation.
Their actions remind us that fairness, due process and the spirit of collegiate athletics should never be compromised. Together, they are setting a powerful example of how unity and strong leadership can challenge injustices and protect our fundamental values.
@MarshaBlackburn Hey Marsha. Can you explain what you have done to help prevent and mitigate school shootings? I’m sure everyone appreciates the prayers, but Tennesseans sent you to D.C. to fight for and protect us - not just pray. You don’t need to be in D.C. to pray. Quit failing Tennesseans.
On this day in 2009, legendary @LadyVol_Hoops Head Coach Pat Summitt became the first coach in college basketball history to reach 1,000 wins 📈🙌
Since then, five more coaches have reached that career mark 👇
Lee Elder has passed away at the age of 87.
In 1975, he made history as the first African American to compete in the Masters Tournament.
Lee was honored this past April at Augusta National and his legacy will surely live on.
