G5 and P4 are completely different levels now.

You could convince yourself of 2016 Houston, 2017 UCF or 2021 Cincinnati competing at the top level. The game has completely changed.

All 3 of those rosters would've been depleted in modern day transfer portal + NIL (assuming they hadn't made move to B12 yet).

The best G5 team in modern CFB will be FAR closer to the level of the FCS champion than the FBS champ.

It's not fair. We need to stop pretending it is. If a team proves they're top 12 quality, then sure, you get in....but what happened this year is a disgrace.
